Finally success on big 3, after 6 months-including pics **update on page 2**

Hi!
first of all, sorry for my English, it's not perfect.
I'm 22 years old and started balding slowly at age 16.
until i was 18, i didn't care so much for my hair, but then a big shedding occurred.
i started reading about potential treatments for my hair, mainly on finasteride, and was scared from horror stories about propecia..
after losing hair density on my top scalp, and about 0.5 inches on temples, i realized that i have to do something or i will lose all my hair!
after reading "Men's Guide to Hair Loss Treatment" on this site i decided to try the big 3.
first, i ordered generic finasteride of dr.reddys on internet and started taking 1 pill every day (1mg).
first 2 weeks i had ball ache, but didn't panicked because i was sort of prepared for it, by reading posts on internet of people who had this same feeling.
on the third weak the side effects disappeared, and until now everything is ok.
after 3 months of finasterid safe use, i decided to add minoxidil 5% foam(every morning&evening), along with nizoral 2%(2 times a week).
3 months later, after total 6 month use on finasteride and 3 months on minoxi+nizoral, i finally see the results that I've been waiting so much to see.
2 pics before the treatment:

3 pics after 6 months on big 3:

i know that it's not perfect but as you can see, my hair is darker now, and has more density.
the temples are much better as well.
i hope for even better results in the future, and i will keep update.
if you have any questions please feel free to ask. :)

That's amazing. Good for you my man! Would you ever consider growing your hair out or would you have to keep it so short for the treatments to effect your scalp?

Great job, hair looks good! Any side effects and did you experience any shedding from either product?

dr_winston, i have short hair for the past 5 years, and i think that the minoxidil has better absorption on short hair, so i will continue to cut my hair(1mm every 2 weaks).
CliffLee, at first i had ball ache, but it passed 2 weaks later. no effect on libido, actually it is higher than ever! :D:D. i experienced shedding in the first month of using minoxidil. no cosmetic damage.. just tiny hair falling.

Thanks for your reply, appreciate it. Got the finasteride on order and looking into topical applications.

You looking to add anything new to your routine at all? Any general advice/ things you would do differently?

I consider adding alpecin shampoo.. maybe stronger DHT inhibitor in the future, it depends on my treatment efficiency for the long run.

Seems like our hairloss is quite similar, I hope I can get those kind of results.

One question though, what's your diet like and do you work out? (I guess that's two questions)
I'm just trying to work out if there is some synergy with keeping a healthy lifestyle and the effects of finasteride and minoxidil.

i think there is no difference from the last time i posted.
as you can see, there is still difference from the top scalp and rest of my hair. much improvement from the first day of the treatment, but no 100%.
in addition, i started to apply minoxi to the area above my ears(my brother brought to my attention that thinning part, and said to give it a try with the minoxi)
i want to start adding one more ingredient to my regime. any recommendation?

Honestly, it's lookin' great man.

Just out of curiosity, how much is this regimen costing your per month?

The finax is about 160$ a year, minoxi is 120$ a year (Ebay), and nizoral is 37$. total sum is 317$, 26.5$ per month.
every year the prices are changing, but the amount ranges between 310$-350$.

Wow. That is cheaper than I anticipated. Where do you get the finasteride again?
