Ok been on finasteride .5 for 6 weeks. In week 3 my libido dropped insanely and finely came back up to working order a week later (still not as good as it used to be) Now A few times a day especially on my right pec I get a dull throbbing pain. I am scared that this could be gyno starting? I have already quite a large chest and dont want it any larger. How can I tell if its gyno? what can I expect? I think I want to drop my dose down to .25 everyday or maybe .5 every other day? Should I stop for a few weeks before I try a lower dose or just start taking .25 every day or just keep up with .5 and start skipping days?

Thank all of you guys or previous help.

U gotta quit before it develops a tiny lump like me. But ride it out because people say it could just be hormones adjusting. But as soon as you feel some tissue in your nipple your gonna have to stop right away. The same thing happened to me and same time line too on .5

If you feel some sort of nerve like tissue in your chest or a lump. You should stop. Pain and itchiness is really the precursor to gyno... In the mean time. Eat healthy and workout if you could

There's no itchyness just a numb pain sometimes. I'm getting the pain in more than just my chest though, I do have quite a bit of fat on me atm, I'm tempted to get off finasteride, Lose weight then try again.

It is adviceble not to quit finasteride cold turkey. I would reduce the dosis to 0,25mg and would try to train, diet and lose weight. Check if you feel better that way. If not, reduce the frequency 0,25mg 2-3 times a week (lots of members here do it and it seems logical its effect is similar due to its metabolism-time and you are probably getting less sides). If after some weeks you still think you have to quit, tapper it off. Solve your problems while you are quitted and once solved, if everything is ok, you think it deeply and are willing to, you could re-try finasteride later.
