If you're scared, then don't take it. Some people will come on here and tell you there's nothing to worry about, but why take even the slightest risk with your child?

Seeing as your regimen doesn't state finasteride yet, I assume you haven't gone on it. If you have started finasteride, I couldn't even tell you how long you should wait after stopping it to be sure your baby will be fine. Not saying on finasteride, your baby will have problems, but I wouldn't take risks. After all, MERCK are the ones who claim your baby will be fine, and considering they claim finasteride cannot cause ANY permanent sexual side effects...you're putting your trust in a company that's known to lie...

Besides, if it's true almost all of your hair is gone I doubt finasteride will do much for you. IMO it's best for the people who first realized the earliest earliest signs of male pattern baldness, like me. Not that I am happy with having taken it for 2 years. I've stopped about a week ago, and done have any noticeable symptoms of hypogonadism, but the slight sides (less thick/white semen, can't hold my piss worth a damn) are there, only today I started noticing holding my piss wasn't super hard anymore :woot: or maybe there wasn't enough liquid in the bladder? :dunno:

At least have the baby first, they go on finasteride maybe. That is if you're really convinced you're not going to be part of the group that goes permanently impotent afterwards. Honestly if I were you, I would never even RISK going on finasteride, or dutasteride, or any DHT inhibitor. Companies like Merck and even other hair loss specialists will give you the impression DHT gives you problems and something you should hate and elimate. Actually, the only downside to it is, with a certain gene (baldness gene, which I'm sure we all have) it manifests it. However, DHT is also good if you want to look like a man althroughout your body. Muscle density, facial hair, works as an anti-depressant, optimizes the functionality of your genitalia and so forth. Stick with the minoxidil, as for me I use Rogaine. I forgot how much better it is to apply than generic minoxidil especially with the lack of propylene glycol, which is a b**** to remove off your scalp (you can only manage to flake it off, but even after you're done showering and your hair is dry, it will still "dandruff" off your head) the upside is however, apparently, PPG will promote the penetration of the minoxidil into your head, so if you're almost bald, maybe use the generic since there's not a lot of hair in the way to remove the residue. I still have lots of hair (I'm just 21, been using minoxidil and finasteride since 19 so it's no surprise) so I use rogaine foam.

All that I say on this forum is either from personal experience and what I believe is true of the things I've researched about. I'm not omnicsient, if I spelled that right...

I never understood these guys that are married(assuming this guy is married) and are still worried about losing their hair. Especially the ones in their late 30's, 40s, and up.

Have the baby, skip the finasteride, and have a good life raising a family. This drug isn't worth the risks if you have actual responsibilities like a wife and kids. You owe it to them to stay as clean and healthy as possible.

No one wants to lose their hair, but I know what you mean.

If you notice, though, most guys who are in their late 30s or 40s on this forum are single and pretty self-depreciating so even with a full head of hair they'd find something to complain about.

But as for someone who had nice hair til they were 35 and now it's starting to disappear, there's nothing wrong with them starting finasteride and trying to stop it lol.

I pretty much agree with the above posts.

I was 19 when I joined this forum and now 21. By the way, if you're single I'd still say don't go on finasteride, because you may still regret it. To be honest I like it more than actual sex (and believe me although I never did it I know exactly how it would be. It's really not that hard to fathom especially with the years I've p**rn I've seen) because I can stimulate myself to the max and seeing as BJ's is my #1 preferred type of sex anyway, I notice most of the past BJ videos I've seen end up with the guy fapping himself to orgasm...so this means masturbating is more effective that my most preffered type of sex :jackit: that is if the fapping was just so that it doesn't go into the mouth...bah my sick and nasty posts. :p
