To anyone in this forum, can you provide any insight to the itch?
I am on my 25th day of Finasteride. On the 23 day, I woke up to an incessant all scalp itch that I cannot relieve. It wakes me from my sleep. If I put my fingers through my hair, close them and wiggle my hair, the follicles hurt. Trying to not scratch with my nails, I can feel what I would say is fine sand grains on my scalp.
I'm on my 3rd day of this itch and before my PCP says stop taking it, I wanted to get thoughts from a user audience.
I use a DHT Blocker shampoo, conditioner system called growganics, but not sure if its working, or causing the issue. I've been using it for over a month.
I thought this was dry scalp, so after washing, i used a strengthening hail oil treatment from HASK. It helped a little.
I tried saturating with coconut oil another day after washing with Selsun Blue, thinking this needed some medicated wash. Provided little relief.
I also take Biotin daily for healthy hair, skin & nails. Zinc, Saw Palmetto, and a multivitamin.
Thoughts?
