I've been on finasteride for around 10 years (I'm 33).
I don't think I initially had any excessive sweating problems when I first started taking it.
However, I'd say in the last 5 years or so, I started to have episodes of excessive sweating.
Sometimes it's an anxiety thing, sometimes I don't even know what causes it, but my body will heat up really quickly and I'll start sweating an excessive amount.
Also being in the heat, I sweat an absolutely insane amount.
The endocrinologist I went to see said all of the tests we did have come back as normal/good.
She thinks it's the finasteride but when I do a quick google, it seems finasteride tends to make people sweat significantly less not more.
She wants me to stop finasteride for maybe as long as 6 months but I'm not really keen on doing that and losing all the hair I've held onto if there is absolutely no reason to believe the 2 are related.
Anybody aware of anything regarding finasteride being the cause of excessive sweating?
