Finasteride For 1.5 Months Just Lost Ground

Took the plunge to take Finasteride approx 1.5 months ago. So far I’ve experienced no sides — at least that I’ve noticed. Seems like I’m just popping a tic tac every morning. I haven’t had any sheds, and only losing around 15-25 hairs in the shower after each wash (which is EOD). Anyway, I’ve been keeping a close eye on my hairline, particularly my left temple, and noticed that like overnight it’s become much thinner, and lost density. I have been keeping pics, so I can say that I have lost about 50% density in just my left temple. Right temple seems to have maintained the same, or at least no noticeable changes.

My concern/question is: is this something to worry about? I was honestly hoping to just maintain on Finasteride, and didn’t care much about regrowth. That’s why I’m not using any growth stimulants. Is it likely that I’m just shedding in my temple, and stronger hairs will regrow there? Have others noticed similar results when beginning Finasteride? Sorry for not sharing pics, but trust me, there has been loss in density. It does have me concerned, I fee like I’m obsessively checking my left temple every couple of hours! It’s bothering me a lot. Is it normal to lose ground on your temples before you stabilize? The density that I lost didn’t seem like miniaturized hairs either.

Any advice, encouragement, or thoughts would be great!

People usually start noticing improvement at around month 6 hang tight. If you are worried you may want to add ru and only use it on the hairline. Good luck!

Stop crying, I'm using this sh*t for 9 months now and it's not doing anything. My hair is way worse than before.

@FCKW36 Sorry, man! I hope things turn around for you, and you can find a solution. Hair loss sucks, bro.

I’m going to keep riding this out for another year to see where I’m at. It’s just hard to be patient, especially when I’m not moving forward or staying the same!
