The photo incorrectly named 11-may-2015.jpg is the before photo - they're in the wrong order, I don't know how to re-order them >_>
At a glance, my hair looks a little worse in the after photo but my hair is about twice the length in the before pic and the lighting is dimmer so I think they're about the same, which I guess is a good thing. As for side effects, I had minor sexual side effects for about 5-6 weeks upon starting then they disappeared and in fact now, my sex drive is stronger than a year ago, but many other things in my life have changed since I started so I can't put that down to finasteride.
The temples have improved slightly (more so than the top) but my before photos of temples were poor & temples aren't my main concern so no photos of temples. But I know they've improved because of a freckle I have used as a way marker which now has hair growing over it (didn't before).
All in all I'm a little disappointed as I heard lots of rave reviews at how well finasteride works with diffuse thinning, which I obviously have. But technically, since it hasn't gone below baseline, I guess it belongs in the 'Success Stories' section...
Also for the record - I started minoxidil way before finasteride. Toppik makes the top look much fuller but I'm worried I'll start losing hair again - at the very least I want to keep what I have, so was considering starting dutasteride which I feel would be a solid way to achieve that. Since I have no side effects from finasteride - I shouldn't have a problem tolerating dutasteride? But I'd have to start using online pharmacies (for Avodart - not touching generics) as theres no prescription for it in the UK so I'm a little apprehensive...
