i've been on finasteride for 3.5 months and lately i'm INCREDIBLY HORNY!!! honestly, can't remember the last time i was like this...must have been in my teens.

also, lately my orgasms have been stronger and more intense and ejaculation has increased.

wasn't it supposed to be the opposite????

i had watery semen too, but that's improved!!!

this is not a good thing guys (well, it's not totally bad), it's affecting my life!!!

on the positive side, i see little hairs that weren't there or getting stronger and darker.

i will persist with the horniness if needs be...rather this than the usual side effects noted, i guess, lol :)

Sounds to me what's called "Reflex Hyperandrogenicity".

I'm not sure if this really exists or not, but some here say that in some people, when finasteride inhibits DHT, it can cause the body to massively ramp up production of plain Testosterone to compensate (i.e. to increase DHT levels).

This usually isn't a good thing, because as well as it making you feel horny, it can actually increase your hair loss. This might be a reason why Finasteride doesn't work well at all for some people.
You might also notice increased body hair growth.

i'm actually reluctant to be believe that is the case at the moment (i sure hope it isn't). as i mentioned i'm seeing small hair growth at the moment and they seem to be getting darker and this is on 0.25mg of propecia daily (started off with 0.125mg for the first 2 months and upped the dose to 0.25mg. will up again mid-october).

though, i must say one of the first things i noticed on propecia was the increase in body hair and its thickness but its effects on that has slowed down.

i guess the only thing keeping me from believing it's Reflex Hyperandrogenicity is these small new hairs, and i believed this was accompanied by oily skin, which i haven't got (but i am on acne treatment, lol).

either way, i'll keep on and hope it's not the case and hope for good results.

Finasteride will increase T levels for everyone, in most cases several hundred percent. Hence, you may see an increase in sexdrive if your T was very low before.

I feel sympathy for you bro... High T is a double edged sword, it could be a blessing with the ladies but it could also be a curse when trying to get some work done

Anyway, I'd rather have high libido than low libido. High T makes me more determined, more physical, more energetic, despite thinking about sex too often I actually work better as well...

sounds kinda like what i experienced. i used finasteride for around 3 months.

except for me, the massive increase in libido occurred pretty much overnight.

what followed some days/weeks later was increased speed of hairloss and an increase in oil where i was losing it (temples).

later still, i got brainfog (which apparently is a made up thing for those that have never experieced it)

many months after (6+) i *think* my estrogen levels went up allot. what i did notice was weight gain and i started to get flabby. though this could be unrelated to finasteride.

the difference between us is that you are taking a lower dosage (.25mg) AND more importantly it sounds like finasteride is working for you in that you are getting regrowth.

so i think it's important for you to keep posting progress updates.

i hope it continues to work for you!
