This may be a terrible question, but are there traces of finasteride in your semen? I ask because I'm aware of the health/pregnancy risks involved w/ women coming in contact w/ the drug and didn't know if a lady friend of mine were to ingest the semen if there would be any potential negative impact..

Thanks.

Gross.

The only risks are if you have sex with a woman that is pregnant, or if the pregnant woman handles crushed pills and/or ingests them. If the fetus gets any Finasteride into it's system, it can potentially cause problems with the development of their sex organs (I think only if its a male though). However, from what i've read, there is a very slim chance of this happening, unless the mother is activately taking large amounts of the drug daily.

i differ on the "gross" comment, but my question still somewhat stands -- you said that if the woman is pregnant and if the fetus gets any finasteride into their system then it could cause potential defects.

anything that a woman consumes during pregnancy is shared with her unborn child..let's say for example that a pregnant female performed fellatio and chose not to spit (i'm trying to word this as delicately as possible)...are there any trace amounts of finasteride in the semen which could cause possible pregnancy (or other) issues?

Honestly I don't see how there could be enough of the actual drug to hurt them. Your finasteride gets bonded to the 5AR-2 receptors, so it isn't like its just floating around your bloodstream in large doses.

You are a lucky man :punk:

There are "trace" amounts of finasteride in the sperm and Merck says they are not of consequence to the women or unborn fetus. I would not trust them though.

Best advice, do it on her face

Ha ha, Or in your hand, and then apply to your scalp for a more economical regimen.

Anecdotally, I've heard of lots of guys having kids on finasteride, and never heard or seen evidence online of anything regarding deformatity to a fetus because of finasteride.

Pretty sure drug companies put these things on the instructions to cover their greedy asses against any possible lawsuits.
