finasteride induced shedding...what should i Do???

Hi guys,

I took propecia 1mg for 2 months a while back. No sides at all(more importantly no shedding). Was working great. Hair loss reduced to almost zero. Then i started gettin pain behind my left nipple. It become very sore to touch. I decided to lay off propeci for 2 months. Pain went away. With approval from my GP, i restarted finasteride at .5mg. Ever since i started ive been shedding like a dog. Everytime i run fingers through my hair i get a sh*t load of hair. What the f*** is going on?? Is this Telogen Effluvium induced by propecia? should i ride it out, or drop propecia all together? Ive been on .5mg for about 3 weeks.

id say ride it. 3 weeks into finasteride is shed time.

This is almost exactly what happened to me. I was using Propecia December through May, and then I stopped for no more than two weeks, when my hair began shedding like crazy. I started using Propecia again, but it's almost November and the hair is still shedding, as well as my confidence and self-esteem.
