Finasteride is a success at preventing erections

Check out this paper. Sickle cell anaemia patients often suffer too many frequent erections and priapism. Finasteride was shown to be very effective at preventing erections.

Yet more solid evidence that if you want to ruin your penis and sex life. Finasteride will do it, very easily.

Misleading title, bad theory. The study does not say that at all, nor should you jump to that conclusion.

I'm as open to criticsm of finasteride as anyone but I am entirely scientific about it. You need to get off your high horse of pretending it's the worst medication ever, and people like Rawtashhk should stop acting like no one gets sides except those in their head.

I agree that we need to be scientific when making any conclusion like what the title says, partcicular the study group are not general population. They are disease affected patients to begin with.

Every drug has side effects and adverse effects, YOU KNEW THE RISK! No one forced you take finasteride, only 2% of men suffer from side effects and even less than that suffer permanent effects.

how is this study unscientific though? it's no like they're using paracetamol to how less erections...they're showing that finasteride does it and they must have thought there was a reason that it would prevent erections...which it did.

When i took finasteride there was no warning of permanent or persistent side effects.

Cut the sh*t guys. They investigated this stuff because it is a potent anti androgen that will decrease libido and erections.

So what if they had sickle cell anaemia? the study still shows how effective it is at messing up your sex drive and penis.
