To think 6 years ago I was using minoxidil alone, putting off finasteride use in case of a cure in the near future.

finasteride is way safer, normal morning wood, normal libido, normal erections
Im 39 and have way better erections now that at 32 when I was on dutasteride.
so yep considering risk-benefit, fina is the best

The industry will continue to be stagnant. No new drugs will begin trials for hair loss at this point. In little more than ten years it is expected that hair multiplication will be the cost of a hair transplant. It takes ten years plus to get a new drug from research to market. There is simply no reason to waste money now on a drug that is not a complete cure, and no single drug is going to cure hair loss. What we have in the pipeline now is all we are going to get, so if they don't work then we are really out of luck.

Statistically the side effects are virtually identical even if they weren't for you. I am on dutasteride and I woke up last night and had to masturbate. Went back to bed and woke up again an hour later with a raging hard on.

we only have indirect comparisons.
I think some group compared duta to 5mg fina, but it's not the same.
Curiously with fina I have 100% eyebrows, with duta I only have some 60% of eyebrows.

We all know that. Finasteride is not magic, neither is dutasteride, but many people have obtained admirable results. What's your point? That the industry hasn't evolved much in all these years? I agree with that.

We have trials for finasteride and we have trials for dutasteride. You don't have to run them together. Every hair loss medication that compares to minoxidil uses the already completed minoxidil trials for their comparison, no one trials minoxidil again with their treatment.

No drug has exactly the same reaction in every patient. Simple biology. Not debatable.

A drug that alters the sex hormone profile? That's a MUCH BIGGER dose of "results will vary" in addition to the basic one.
