Hey guys,
Long story short, I've been on finasteride 1 mg every day for the past 6 years, with some great success. Thickening and regrowth, and solid maintenance. No side effects.
However in the past 3-4 months (possibly 6) I've noticed I'm starting to thin in my problem areas again, plus the horrible male pattern baldness "itch" has returned.
Could be a coincidence, but this seemed to happen at the same time I started going back to the gym.
Anyway, what should I do? I see my options as the following:
1. Add a low dose of dutasteride (like once a week, as studies support this).
2. Add nizoral shampoo and use it consistently (although I don't really think it helps all that much).
3. Start using a low dose of minoxidil every day, like diluted to 1% (unfortunately I'm EXTREMELY sensitive to it, and can't even use the 2% without getting lightheaded or pounding heartbeat... I've tried multiple times).
I also had a bad experience with RU58841, so I will not being using that.
Right now I can still style my hair to cover any detectable loss, but it is getting harder and harder as the density decreases.
Thoughts on what to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
