I have been on finasteride for 6 and a half months now on 1mg EOD dosage. I have not seen any results from finasteride but on the contrary it is making it 100X worst! My hair miniaturisation has increased while i am on finasteride and now half of my temple is recessed. Why is finasteride doing this? Shouldnt it be helping to keep my hair? And also i did not encounter any shed on finasteride, rather my hair fall actually reduced. But my hairline recession has gone worst. I know finasteride is doing this because previously my hairloss wasnt so rapid. What is going on? Am i using it the wrong way?? Please help im desperate

(ps i have been on min 1x daily for 1yr now but i think i havent seen results after the initial 3months)

(left pic is hairline at june, right is my current hairline)

So you created another thread asking the same thing. You must of not liked the responses you got in the other thread. If you are getting worse it means you have aggressive loss or you just are shedding from interrupting your hair cycles with treatment. Only time will tell what happens.

hard to say if it has gotten worse. Lighting, angle and hair length are all different

How are u Andy? Long time no see
Hey! Yes it had been a very long time.. I have been ok i guess. Ive been trying to work on my mental health as i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder a year ago.. so dealing with that plus the anxiety and depression i already had and its been tough..my hair situation i do feel is under control and I just posted an update in my thread with my hair buzzed for the first time. Think it looks pretty decent :) I dont worry about my hair anymore but quickly found other things to worry about which is why i havent been here much. How are you?

I am doing good and my hair is holding up fairly well. Your hair was never a problem so I can understand why you have other things to worry about. I know your mental health was your biggest challenge. Glad you came back for an update.
