I have read alot of information about all the possible products on this site.. (which has helped alot). I currently started taking finasteride about 2 weeks ago and started on Nizerol. My question is do you beleive that might be enough. I was considering starting on rogaine, but my hair is pretty thick in the back and i have no loss of hair on my vertex.

My hair loss is mostly a receding hairline and some thinning up front.. Its bascially a Peninsula look. I have always had a receiding hairline since i was a kid, and kinda noticed it thinning out and receding a few years ago, but kinda just blew it off. In the past year i have noticed dramatic change in the hairline and how thin the front of my hair has gotten.

So my question is do i countine to use finasterida and nizerol, or will starting rogaine help the receding hairline.

Thanks for any responses.

Stay the course and you should be fine. I have never understood why some people that just need to maintain their hair jump on the "Big Three".

If you just want to maintain and thicken things up, your current regiment should be fine. Evaluate it again in 6 months and be patient.

You can always add minoxidil later if you need to. minoxidil can be a pain in the *** and keeping a regiment as simple as possible is a good idea.

Finasteride- Stops Hairloss and thickens the hair up
Nizoral- Creates a good scalp enviroment for hair and thickens up hair
minoxidil- Regrows hair.......Do you realy need it?

If you do decide to use minoxidil, go the cheap route and go generic. Generic minoxidil is just as good as rogaine.

Keep us posted

Realize that finasteride & nizoral may be all you need to maintain and adding minoxidil later is a very possible solution.

However, you risk loosing more hair in the first 6 months of treatment while it kicks in.

As far as nizoral goes, you should try it out, most people recommend it because it works well for them, but there are some other good shampoos out there if you don't like nizoral. Personally i find that nizoral leaves my hair very flat. I tried a generic TGEL shampoo, and that worked well for me.
