finasteride now Generic in the US

FYI.. Just happened this last week. It will be interested to see how much savings. My derm said it will get cheaper in 6 months when more competitors are out. Should be around 20% less now.

Are you talking about 1mg or 5mg finasteride? 5 mg finasteride has been generic in the US since June of last year and as far as I know 1mg isn't scheduled to go generic for several years, although I could be wrong about the 1mg.

Yes.

Generic Finasteride in the 5mg form has been out since summer of last year.

Somebody said this before as well but it's not out yet. Can you guys show some proof that it is when you say this so we don't go roaming the net aimlessly when it hasn't happened?

I went to Walgreen's pharmacy a few months ago to pick up some more proscar and the phamacist told me there is a generic version out and he said he can fill that for me. I saved like 25$.

I can get proscar for $85 from my pharmacy. I wondered if I should have loyalty to merk, but since they advertized that it does not work in front, which slowed my getting on finasteride, I don't have much loyalty.

Yeah I have been using generic Proscar since the week it came out.
