Ding dong the monopoly is dead! As of two days ago, it is legal to sell Generic Finasteride/propecia in the United States. So is anyone actually making the stuff? How long until we see Kirkland Propecia?

Yeah I thought I read somewhere that the patent that expired was only for 5 mg of finasteride for treatment of BPH. I'm not sure if you can patent a particular dose like that but that was what I read somewhere.

I thought thepatent has expired for proscar, not propecia?...I didn't think we'd be seeing a 1 mg generic finasteride pill yet.

My phamasist just told me yesterday that they received a notification about generic propecia. She didn't have the details, said to check back next month. Not sure what dosage, etc, but I buy 1mg Propecia, and she made sure she mentioned it.

I'm hoping.

yes, it expired on June 19th this year... now let's see some quality generics
