finasteride (proscar)

i have been taking half a proscar tablet 3 times a week (mon,weds,fri) as my trichologist told me to do, ive noticed a lot of people taking proscar are taking quarter of a pill a day.

I was wondering if i might see better results taking a quarter a day instead of half 3 times a week? what does everyone think?

The usual dose with Propecia is 1mg per day - or 7mg a week. By taking 1/2 a Proscar tablet 3 times a week you are taking 7.5mg a week - almost the same as you would with Propecia. People who cut their Proscar tablets into quarters and take a quarter a day will end up taking 8.75mg per week. I'm not sure if there are any added benefits with taking it daily.
