I was watching a video on Youtube. It says finasteride raises the hormone estrogen by 15%. Is this accurate?

Does that make it likely that finasteride influences behaviour? I know the scientific research makes it look quite innocent but I'd like to know more about it.

If there is any important topic to read on finasteride side effects please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Ps here's the link:

They say it at 2:00 minutes.

Yes, look at page 2.

Thanks. I see at the bottom of page 1 it says: Finasteride has no estrogenic effects.

And then on page two it does say estradiol is raised by 15%.

Knowing all these effects, how likely is it that taking propecia influences behavior?

Finasteride only binds to 5AR Type 2 enzymes. That's what they mean. Hormonal changes may affect behavior. Do some research in the body building community, especially how steroids with strong androgenic effects and PCT drugs like Clomid affect the users. It's extreme cases, but still. A guy at the side effects forum recently accused finasteride for feminizing his behavior.

I think reduced DHT level makes you less aggressive.

Ok thanks that's interesting.

In one of your other posts you said that taking 0.25mg twice a day would have the same effect as 1x 1mg.

Would that minimize the changes to hormones or would it still be the same?

It shouldn't be any difference at all, as long as you take the pills 12 hours a part.

So if I understand it correctly the only benefit of taking 2x 0.25 mg instead of 1x 1mg is cost savings?

1 mg a day is a guarantee of top efficiency if it works, and it's more convenient. 0.25 mg every 12 hours is cheaper, and less poison - although that part shouldn't matter, because finasteride has more or less a flat dose response from 0.05 mg.

Can you tell anything more about that?

If finasteride drops DHT by 65% this should be pretty significant.

If you have any useful links I'd like to read them.

As I said, read about how strong androgenic steroids affect the users.
Which AAS Yields Worst Aggression?

I feel more aggressive too, when I hit the spot with testosterone. It's a positive effect for me. I'm thinking more clearly, and I'm more responsive. It affects well-being and confidence.
