So in 2018 I started noticing my hairloss problem ( i even posted here back then). My hairloss wasn't visible, no thinning , no hairline retracement. I had noticed increased shedding. Back then I decided not to start any treatment. My shedding was stable for the next years and my hairline started to recede.
The summer of 2021 I was still shedding and my hairline was reaching NW2 and my crown had thinned a bit. So I started taking finasteride 1mg daily (propecia), after seeing a dermatologist.
After one week one finasteride my shedding , which was stable for 3 years, increased dramaticly. I was shedding 3-4 times the hair I was shedding before. I didn't quit the drug cause I knew some initial shedding was normal, but I think mine started too soon on the drug, just after one week, like some kind of system reaction.
Today is my 3 month anniversary on the drug and the shedding is still going like crazy.
Is this normal? When will this stop?
Just this morning in the shower I shed so much hair, I was crtain I wouldn't have any hairl left by the time I get out of the shower lol
