Does it happen to everybody or just a percentage of people? my hair is neck line and after 3 days without a wash my scalp gets a bit noticeable, and I'm just afraid of finasteride making it worse, but if don't do anything it will probably get worse anyway..
anyone with long hair on finasteride? do I have to cut my hair shorter until the possible shedding periods cease?

Edit: Btw what's the best place to order finasteride(as proscar) from? no need for a prescription would be nice too but I'm mostly looking forward to save some money.

FOR THE LAST TIME GUYS, hair is dead, cutting it, length, shaving does not effect male pattern baldness...

most do see a slight increase in loss, i think even Merck reports this. this lasts for 1 to 4 months where regrowth starts

I know cutting it short won't make it thicker or grow more, I just asked because loss of density due to excess shedding must be more evident in people with long hair I think..

I shed for like 5 months. Then stopped. Then last week I shed again. Be prepared.

Honestly there is nothing you can do. I told myself when I decided to take finasteride that no matter what, I was going to stick with the medication because I was losing hair anyway. Add nizoral to your regimen btw.

Right now I'm on propecia so I can't help you with the online ordering since I get it from the pharmacy. Do a search on it bro, or ask a few guys on here, I'm sure they will recommend a reputable source.
