Hi all. I have been considering finasteride for about 6 months and have done a copious amount of research. There is, however, one question I cannot find the answer to!
Context: Went to derm to talk about finasteride. She was fine with prescribing it, but wanted to run some blood tests first to ensure the hairloss wasn't from some type of deficiency. She ran the bloodwork, and found no deficiencies... but my "Total Estrogen" came back at 180 pg/mL (Normal range is 45-120 pg/mL). Blood test results were conducted a 2nd time through my General Practitioner and the 180 pg/mL was confirmed. I am a 24yo, average height and weight. Bodybuild 5 days a week. BMI about 25. I have a high libido and rarely experience ED.
Do y'all think my risks of experiencing adverse side effects (low libido, ED, depression, cognitive impairment, gyno) are higher, given my high E level?
