finasteride Sides Almost Immediately? Newbie Here.

So, I just started taking finasteride at a very low dose, only 0.25mg daily. I've read that it takes longer than that to experience side effects but I'm on day 4 and I've had side effects since day one. Sadly I can't take Minoxidil because it nearly made me faint after a week of use, and I got chest pains.

I can still get an erection and ejaculate, but it's much more difficult and not as pleasurable. I also have watery semen.

Should I wait it out and see what happens? Is this a red flag? I see a lot of conflicting opinions everywhere but this forum seems to be the most active and knowledgeable.

After 1 or 2 months libido should go back to normal or close to

What do you mean with it's normal? Normal that if he quits it will resolve itself or if he stays on it it will subside?

Personally, if I had those side effects I would quit. Matters how important hair is to you. But then again the side effects could very likely be in your head, especially given that you had them within a day of taking it. I am on dutasteride and had the opposite sides starting out, had crazy strong erections, high libido, stronger ejaculate. But over time things pretty much went back to normal. Been on it for a year and still losing hair, so probs not a good example. Has helped my lifts and just feel better on it though, so not quitting.

Don’t listen to the people telling you to quit over watery semen... I’ve been on for about 3 weeks 1 mg a day of finasteride. The only effects I’ve noticed are watery semen and slightly lower libido. I can still c*m (a good amount actually just watery) and I can still have sex like 4 times a day if I want. Ask yourself, would you rather be bald or have slightly lower sex drive and watery c*m. To me it’s not even a question, especially since in nearly all people the side effects go away. Just wait it out I say.
