I would have to say that Propecia has helped maintain my hair at the least and provided me with slight-moderate regrowth in the crown. Its worked for the last 9 years but now unfortunately its effectiveness has dropped. I made the move to dutas.
no side effects at all. it seems to have maintained my hair and made it a bit darker, or so many customers have told me, not knowing I was on propecia. I did not take pictures, but it looks about the same to me.
I didn't have any sides at all. Things were great and thus why I was on it for so long. 1mg daily and hardly ever skipped a dose. I seem to have been just an average responder to it. Hoping for the same or better with dutasteride.
Yeh I am going to start finasteride soon and I will stay on that and Nizoral for 1 year and go from there. I actually have a question. Say I start with .5mg finasteride and stay with that for a year, would that be as effective as 1mg or is that dosage too weak? The reason I ask is because when my body starts growing a tolerance to the finasteride I will just up the dose allowing my body more time to use the finasteride.

It took me really almost 9 years for propecia to be ineffective at the 1mg dose level. I haven't increased the dosage nor will I. I may have exceeded many when it comes to tolerance but nevertheless, propecia has been good to me for a long time. Hopefully, it can do the same for you. I suggest taking the normal 1mg dosage.
I'm having moderate regrowth.
Started growing hair after 7-8 months. (Took it for 12 months, now on Avodart)
No side effects; it cleared my acne completely. (This is after I went to a N3 15 years ago and didn’t do anything about my hair loss).
If I had taken Finasteride back then, I would be telling a different story.
