I spent months taking finasteride every other day because taking it daily just gave me a scalp itch and was eating my hairline rapidly.

Taking it every other day stopped the itch and did reduce the speed of the receding but from what i can tell its never stopped receding.

I recently bought Dutasteride so i can probably try that when i gain the courage but am starting to question whether its free increased Testosterone sensitivity thats eating my hairline and if so Dust may not actually help at all.

My 3 options i am struggling over right now is

1. Keep on finasteride, but change back to daily and just hope the sped up hairline and itch don't destroy my hair

2. Change to Dutasteride and hope that it may do something finasteride wasn't

3. Maybe reduce finasteride to 2 times a week and use S5 cream daily.

For some folks, finasteride doesn't biologically reduce serum DHT. May be worth taking bloods to see your numbers.

Does anyone know whether one ever other day and one ever day makes that much difference?

Well if i could have my DHT and stuff checked easy i would but i would probably have to pay quite abit of money for these results and the doctor wouldn't help due to the fact it would cost money for these tests that wouldn't be for a health issue.

I am pretty much just doing hairloss maths right now to figure out whats wrong

Yeah hair loss is kind of a mess. No one knows much about almost any of it. No treatment works all that well, and not for everyone. All treatments are quite expensive, and all are cosmetic so your entirely on your own paying for it. Its long term where its possible you get sides eventually or it just stops working.
Is there anything more confusing with such little certainty as medicine? Most of the time its random guessing

Yeah i am trying to minimize cost as i already paid out quite abit as it is for trying to stop hairloss and alot of the things i bought are sitting on my shelve because i don't know what to do with them.

Course recently i bought Dutasteride and thats more pricey then Finasteride and i still don't know if i should stop finasteride or keep on it and try one every day instead of every other day

Although finasteride every day does give me a sped up receding itch and given it stops the itch for many people i still find it odd.
