I'm relatively new to hair loss treatments. I'm 21 yrs old and I've been balding for several years, but it's a serious issue right now.
I've contacted few clinics to do a transplant but someone really recommended me to try for at least one year the combo of finasteride+min before considering to go and try the surgery. I've joined several Facebook and Reddit groups and everyone recommended me the same.
Now, the only problem is that I saw that oral finasteride can give some weak boners, low libido, depression, and other symptoms.
I really don't know if it's recommended to me to take oral now or even after I finish the antidepressant (which would be in a month). I already have those symptoms from the SSRI and I don't want to continue to have them or struggle with anxiety and depression again from finasteride.
I still want my hair back so I saw that there is some topical finasteride and you should not get the same symptoms from it as oral. I also saw minoxidilmax which combines finasteride and Min and it sounds really good.
Now, my questions are, should I jump and try oral finasteride and see if I get any symptoms? My psyc doesn't know how I would react to it as everyone can react differently to the med and while your entire body adjusts to it. So, anyone who takes SSRI and finasteride? Or topical finasteride?
Or should I just stick to Min, shampoo, and dermarolling and jump in the future on topical or oral finasteride? Tho, I know that it's useless if you don't take finasteride to do anything else..and even if I get a hair transplant I would need to take finasteride for the rest of my life, right?
