Hi, so I've had seborrheic dermatitis for probably about a decade at this point, I've taken a few different prescribed shampoo's but the one that seemed to work the best was a shop-bought Head and Shoulders product with Selenium Sulphide in it. I've been using that same product for years at this point but it's recently been discontinued, leading me to look at alternatives and I finally actually researched Selenium Sulphide only to find out it can speed up hair loss, my hair has receded quite a bit in the last couple of years and at this rate I'll probably have to shave it off within a year or look like an in denial 40 year old. My Dad has male pattern baldness and lost his hair at this level at around ten years after I've reached the same stage, if I stopped using the Selenium Sulphide would it potentially stop or slow down the hair loss? I had no idea that this could be speeding up my hair loss and it definitely came as a shock, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's called hereditary hair loss.

Look at a Norwood scale, then look at your mug. There's your answer
