First toppik use, amazing result!

Hey guys,

I bought some toppik today and tried it for the first time. I'm really impressed with how well this stuff works. Here are some pictures.

This picture was taken about 4 weeks ago. Note that I had started Minoxidil 2 weeks before this photo.

And here is the picture I've taken today. My hair is longer than the first picture but you can see how the toppik has visually thickened my hair and my scalp is no longer visible. The minoxidil has also thickened my hair slightly but it's really the toppik at play here.

Amazing stuff.

I'll try and remember to take a picture before I apply the toppik next time.

That's very true. Although I may be starting finasteride in a couple of weeks after my blood tests so if I can get results like that on the big 3 I will be very happy.

If people ask questions, I'll just say I'm having a good hair day? lol

To be fair nobody has really been like wow. My girlfriend just said "it looks better today maybe that regaine is working?"

Are you on finasteride as part of your hair transplant?

I asked my doctor about it the other day and he said my sex drive will take a hit. He said it was tough decision but wanted to check my T levels and thyroid before suggesting it to me, he seems pretty clued up. I have a pack of finpecia sitting next to me now but I think it's a bit silly to take it without any medical advice.

I just washed my hair so I can apply my minoxidil. This is what it looks like without the toppik.

The pic up top without the toppik, compared to the one down the bottom, Is that just from minoxidil for a few weeks? That's a big difference?

You are correct.

It's the fact that my hair is longer at the moment and I was wearing hair gel in the first pic which will make the scalp more visible and maybe different lighting. But there is no denying the minoxidil is working. I'll try and get a better and more fair comparison for you guys to see the difference.

Yeah I've seen a few members of this forum hijacking threads about Post Finasteride Syndrome. I don't understand why they feel the need to scaremonger. I do believe this condition is real but I also think a lot of it can be in the mind. Anyway it seems like a very rare thing perhaps those people are allergic to the drug? You don't see people who are allergic to penicillin posting on health boards about the dangers of the drug do you. All drugs carry risks and side effects at the end of the day.

Nice one, are you using the foam or the liquid, and do you use in the morning after wash and have to wash again to take off toppik before applying every night or ...?

I'm using the Foam 5%. I use it twice a day and wash each time before applying. I use Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo and every 2-3 days Nizoral. I apply the Toppik every morning after the Minoxidil and then style my hair.

I think you will probably get away with leaving the toppik on at night and not washing your hair, just apply the minoxidil straight on. My only concern with this is I like to have all the styling products out of my hair before applying the minoxidil so it can be absorbed efficiently.

Applying the toppik only takes me around 20 seconds so It's not a problem for me.

Not mad on that Alpecin at all, It really dries the hair out and makes it quite unmanageable.

I'd be really interested to know if you can apply minoxidil without washing your hair every day when you have dermmatch and fibres in your hair...

You're results are looking promising though
