First of all: I'm convinced. This sh*t WORKS.
Second: I wish it worked better.
Allow me to explain.
In the course of three months I have almost completely stopped shedding. I shed a little when I wash my hair, but that's it. I really hadn't expected this. As I'm on my 6th (or is it 7th?) year on finasteride, and my second year on nizoral, one would generally figure that adding a third maintainer would be fairly pointless, right? I mean, I have maintained pretty good so far. (proudly presenting a Norwood 2, wich i could pass as a Norwood 1.5 with the right styling)
Yet I cannot deny that this yellowish, alcohol- fuming, instantly drying liquid have virtually stopped hair from falling off of my scalp.
I'm confused and excited. Have I been, despite contrary photographic evidence, slowly loosing hair after all on those 6 years on finasteride? Or is there, 6 years after I started my battle against the dreaded horse- shoe pattern, even more hair to save that finasteride doesn't manage to effect?
Add to the fact that my hair FEELS greater, and that thickness seems to slowly increase (can't tell for certain yet; I need more time, but I remain optimistic).
So why do I wish it worked better?
It does not show. For all it being a cosmetic product, I really have nothing to show for it. At least not yet.
If I used to shed 200 hairs a day, nobody could tell. Now, those 200 hairs remain on my head, and still: nobody can tell.
What I want is to increase hair count and thickness on my vertex: It's not a bald spot yet, but it's definitely heading in that direction. It's been going in that direction for 6 years, and thankfully hasn't gone even an inch closer thanks to finasteride.
The question remains: will fluridil be the one treatment who finally grows and/or thickens, or will it be just another braking device, maintaining a decent, but slightly thinning- looking vertex?
