are they sure this works, got my foam yesterday, its just so damn easy to apply compared with the bloody liquid, also it dries instantly and doesnt leave any crusts/fluff etc
will washing hands with soap suffice after application?

what other options are there? are you going to wash your hands with industrial grade bleach?

reason i ask is because as it dries quickly it surely is absorbed as well on the fingers as on the scalp.
if washing the fingers with soap negates its effect, how long after application on the scalp can you at the very minimum run water through your hair?
10m?

ahh ok. in another thread someone said that the instructions say its ok to wash your hair once the foam has dried. sounds a bit soon to me though. do the instructions you got with your foam mention anything like that?

yes ive just noticed that on my leaflet too, in the morning thats practically impossible, unless washing hair is considered shampooing instead of simply running a little water through the hair

hairfin,

Have you tried applying the foam to areas where you have hair? I read that guys have problems there since the stuff dries too fast and may be lost in the hair.

I am a diffuse thinner with decent coverage. I use the cool water suggestion then dry my hands. I apply it quickly to partted areas. I use about 1/2 the pile of foam in the vertex spreading quickly, and about 1/4 on each side behind the hairline and spread it quick. Inspite of the hair, it still geting down to where it needs to be.

If your hair is too thick to apply it, what do you need rogaine for anyway?

I just got my foam in the mail today (about 20 minutes ago) -- so OF COURSE I bolted to the bathroom to take it for a spin.

Initial impressions: I was overwhelmed by the quick drying time -- almost a LITTLE too quick, I'm not even sure how much actually got through the hair and made it to my scalp.. I've gotten so accustomed to the slimy rogaine liquid feel, where you know exactly which parts have been covered. With this foam, I'm not too sure where it went.

So I might consider using both -- foam when I'm off to work or going out.. liquid for the times when you're just rotting around the house.

And yeah, my fingers totally smell like a French wh***.

I apply rogaine on the crown and the thing is that, the original stuff is greasy as hell and you have to wait between 2-4 hours for it to dry. Its so annoying. Then again, the stuff has worked wonders for me so because it has actually worked, the hair I have there in the crown might make it hard for the foam to penetrate. I guess I will have to try on my own and experiment, I might use the foam during the day, and the regular stuff at night when I'm at home by myself.

Rogaine has worked somewhat for me, but I have real problems with it leaving a crusty layer on my scalp which ends up looking like the world's most massive dandruff. It's disgusting. Does the foam leave the same layer or is it free from these problems??
