Foam side effects?

I have been on rogaine foam for over a year, then i stopped for 3 months and began it again for about 3 months now.

About 5 days ago my scalp was itching a lot. So I combed it, but apparently I think I did it too hard.

Then next day, I realized my scalp was oozing something clear but sticky substance..

Also, it hardens my hair like it is gel or hair spray..

When I scratch my scalp I can scrape some of it off, and it seems yellowish..

Any idea what this is?

I tried to see a derm, but no one is free for another 3 weeks. I want to knwo what it is or if it will go away or if I can do something...

Should I stop foam meanwhile or does foam not affect it? Did it cause it?

Please help im scared out my mind.

Okay i guess i am the only one who experienced this.. but seems unlikely. I am assuming not enough people post here or whatever..

anyhow, my scalp got much better. here is what I did:

Soak my scalp for 20mins with OLIVE OIL (cooking one)

Then shower and wash my head with Head n Shoulders intensive care Seborrheic Dermatitis shampoo..

My scalp no longer oozes.. hope it heals totally in few days.

Good to hear you found a solution, tbh i've never heard of a yellow puss like substance, but it sounds inflammatory in nature.

Look in to Nizoral shampoo, maybe even copper peptides to keep the scalp in healthy condition.

no it was a clear STICKY substance oozing out.. then when dried, seemed yellowish.. i dont know. it was sticky though like GEL..

i hope it never returns...
