foam vs liquid

Ok I've been using minoxidil 5% liquid for 1 and a half weeks now...which I presume is too short a time to notice anything. What I'm wondering, though, is foam that much better? If so, how? My biggest hang up with the liquid is that it takes 4 hours to absorb and it looks f'ing terrible when it's applied. Is the foam absorbed quicker? Is it more effective in maintaining/regrowing hair?

Foam dries much much much faster. Also its suppose to be a little more effective than the liquid... or so they say.

I've just changed to the foam. I was attending the Belgravia Clinic in London where I used to get the liquid from and when I told them I'd changed they'd never heard of the foam (it's not available in the UK).

However, they did question how foam could be better absorbed than the liquid as it would be more difficult to reach the scalp given that the foam would contact the hair first.

This got me thinking because the foam is just like a styling mousse in texture and that's obviously used on the hair.

The foam is much easier to apply and looks better, but are we getting the same level of scalp contact?

I guess I won't be sure until I've been using it for several months, but Belgravia do seem to asking a pertinent question.

Why don't you guys google Versafoam, which is the technology used in the Rogaine foam. It's not like hair mousse. This will answer your questions regarding penetration which is without a doubt superior than the liquid. There are a million threads on this topic. The search function is your friend.

yeah the foam is supposed to be tons better than the liquid. couldn't comment because I've never used the liquid. This is just from what I've read on this forum..

common sense tells me that if the liquid needs 4 hours to dry then it's really not keen on being absorbed is it? :)

Hopeman:
the foam is ridiculously easy to apply, takes about 1-3 mins to dry completely and leaves no trace.
