now I also know examples of doctors false advertising such techniques but really now. why doesn't the industry focus on this?

DP cell multiplication might indeed be the future but till then I see at least a decade ( which i truly wish to be wrong about).

No one in a good situation would come to this incel holding pen of a site to discuss splitting donor hairs in two unless they work in the field or are very very bored.

IIRC spilling follicles just produces two half-size follicles. It might have an artistic purpose on the hairline but it won't work to increase the donor supply in a bigger way.

It's possible to get some amount of net total increase (1 split follicle heals up into 2 follicles that are each more than 50% of the original size). But that effect has to be compared against the number of times the Doctor will transect the follicle wrong and damage/kill one or both halves.

It practice it's hard enough to get a couple thousand regular FUE grafts done with a low transection rate. Trying to split a lot of 1-graft follicles into something even smaller is not worthwhile.

Also, I remember reading that bisections of an FU leads to both a thinner outcome and, for some of those units, a finite cycle (ie, the hair cycles a few times and then stops growing altogether).
