FM is the thee State-of-the-Art today. Anyone you know going in for an hair transplant that is using the old style surgery of STRIP/SCALP REDUCTION/FUT is in for some serious disappointment.

Hmmm...let's review some of the awesome benefits of FM:
1) NO SCARRING...absolutley none! Scars can be seen through your hair typically, especially after a haircut are very, very permanent. I know, I have them from STRIP surgery 8 yrs ago.
2) NO SURGERY, as the sessions are called Treatments because they are so low pain that NO PAIN KILLERS or other DRUGS are taken orally, only local anastesia to the scalp under treatment. I watched a movie during my session and fell asleep during the rest of it (normal for FM patients).
3) RECOVERY TIME of 1-2 days with NO bandages.
4) SAME COST as most other hair transplant's. Prices vary in the industry based on quality, reputation, supply and demand and such but you get what you pay for in most cases in life. A treatment of FM is typically $4100.
5) EFFECTIVE YIELD of actually successful donor follicles is very high due the high precision used in FM. AND, YOU HAVE THE ADDED BENEFIT THAT ALMOST ALL DONOR HAIR WILL REGROW FOR THE NEXT TIME YOU NEED IT:) Sweet! I love that part!
6) HAIR retention is forever in the recipient. You never lose the transplanted hair.
7) ESPECIALLY FOR Norwood 5-7 male pattern baldness candidates.

Ok, that about covers the biggies...anymore questions? If anyone is interested, you can reach me at Saplyak@hotmail.com

8) Price reduction if you advertise for Dr. Gho in hairloss forums.

The great thing about all these hair surgeries is that the doctor prescribes you finasteride afterwards. So when the hair starts sprouting, people think, "LOL! Oh my gosh! The surgery restored all my old hair! ROFLMAO!" when really much of it was due to finasteride.

They're always speaking of "natural hairlines". But I think it is always possible to see an hair transplant procedure in close-up pictures.
BTW, what happened to Bazan's "scalp impregnation" ?

I'm no expert, but I think FM is basically a step down from the true HM - meaning they can give you a hair without using an entire follicle. That would explain why FM patients don't lose their donor areas like traditional hair transplant patients do.

It sounds like they basically are splitting the follicles in halves, allowing each half to heal back into a full follicle again.

Although to me it sounds like splitting a follicle like that should kill it, so I may be getting the wrong idea here.

If the cost is the same as most hair transplant's, then whats the cons of this procedure? Sounds even better the FUE.

U mean US dollars?.....BTW I got a Q...i have heard that transplanting DHT resistant hair like in this case results in triggering the other hairs surrounding it to grow?......Does it mean that a few transplanted hair, lets say transplanted att he hairline, will result in the other DHT prone hair surrounding it to grow?
