For people who are trying to conceive and are taking Finaste

I am looking for people's experience on trying to conceive while taking Finasteride ?
I would like to know more precisely if you had to stop the drug, how long did it take for you etc .......

Are you currently on finasteride? If so, I would recommend going to get a semen analysis and testing so you can see the count, motility and morphology. If everything is ok, you should be good to go. For me personally, it affected me pretty badly so I had to stop, but that's certainly not saying it'll affect everyone.

I have already done 2 semen analysis and both shows a lack of motility , I am on the low limit ..
I have seen an urologist who asked me to stop finasteride while trying to conceive ...

Did you have to stop to conceive as well ?

Yes, I did. And I did a semen analysis about 5 years ago before I started taking finasteride and my sperm showed good count numbers, as well as motility, so the finasteride played a pretty negative role. It doesn't affect everyone, but it got me. The sh*tty part is the fact that it worked wonders for my hair...but yes, I had to stop and will probably stay off of until I have a few little rugrats running around.

I take a quater pill of finestride and only have a slight decrease in semen. I recently got my girlfriend pregnant, so it is possible to conseive whilst on finasteride.
