For people who believe minoxidil made their hair worse...

I've been experimenting with it - putting more on the left side and less on the right side - I now have much less hair on the left side.

I believe it has made things worse and not better.

Has anyone had such an experience? Is it possible that now I have quit the minoxidil that some of this hair lost could grow back or am I pretty much screwed here? What were your experiences after quitting?

How long you have been using minoxidil?

too long!

I used the 2% for about a year and the 5% for a few months and gave up a few days ago. Initially I realised that I had been accidentally spraying more on the left side (where it was getting worse) and now I'm quite sure that the minoxidil wasn't helping things at all. Of course, I could find that things get even worse now that I've stopped but I doubt that will happen any quicker than it would have.

According to the information from Rogaine, one should try it for 4 months and see if Rogaine is for you. If you do not see any result in 4 months, then Rogaine may not be for you, and one should discountinu to use it. So I think Rogaine /minoxidil is not for everyone, so not everyone will get result from it.

minoxidil is working well for me. im shedding a good bit but my hair is getting better. Its worked well on the temples i have to admit ..dont know about adding bulk to the hair all over. finasteride is good for that though.

I think minoxidil is like anything else...works for some..doesnt work for others....and i think the ones it doesnt work on are guys with aggressive hair loss who think minoxidil is making their hair worse when really its just the hair loss going up a gear.
