Forehead Acne

I started Finpecia a little more than two weeks ago. From the second day I started getting monster pimples on my forehead. Has anyone else else gotten these when they started finasteride? Other than that I haven't experienced any sides except for the ball ache the first two days, but each time it only lasted a minute or two. I'm hoping these pimples don't keep coming like this since they are quite noticeable as they are very large.

Somewhere near the two week mark I had 2-3 days of crazy forehead acne. I kept my cool and it's starting to fade. It's probably due to increased circulating testosterone. It's normal and actually a good sign that the drug is suppressing DHT and that your body is capable of compensating properly.

Yah I had the acne thing too... it went away pretty quick, but was definitely severe while it occurred (ie. not just a pimple that goes away in two days). Acne definitely seems to be the most likely side effect you'll get on finasteride, if nothing else.

I'm just talking about the outbreak itself. I'm still healing from it.

had the acne & yes it faded away. its to do with testosterone increase.
I'd blame the estrogenes for that.

That's what my girlfriend thinks as they are the same type of forehead pimples that she gets when she has her period. They're big tumor like pimples that are tough to pop and take 4 or 5 days to go away. Thankfully this is my only lingering side effect so far.

These forehead pimples are starting to heal and new ones aren't popping up. Five days ago I started washing my forehead with Nizoral 2%. Not sure if this is what's helping or if my body is getting used to the Finpecia.

I had actually just started using an awesome salicylic acid Neutrogena face wash that had cleared any minor pimples I had a week prior to starting finasteride. About a week in, however, I had a massive forehead breakout despite how well the face wash had been working with zits larger than I've had since I was 16/17. I doubt the nizoral had anything to do with your decrease in acne. It may have aided in the healing but I doubt it helped in stopping the pimple tide haha

I've just started to get a couple of pimples which is odd as i've always had perfectly clear skin. Is the general consensus that this is a good sign or could it be indicative of Hyperandrogenicity?

Mind have subsided this week. I'm assuming it may have just been a result of my body acclimating to taking finasteride. How long have you been taking it?

I'm in my fourth month on prescription finasteride. Was two years before that on the web bought generics.

Was doing a forum search and saw this. I've been on Cipla finasteride for around 20 days now and also getting 2-3 large yellow headed spots around my facial areas. Never had a problem with spots before. Suppose the good thing is that the stuff Im using is legit LOL. Bad thing is I got an interview later today :$

i had a lot more acne on finasteride and a lot less on dutasteride. dutasteride reduces dht type 1 which sems to play a role in acne.dutasteride really cleared up my skin very nicely.

finasteride raises your testosterone by 10%.

I was 7 years on finasteride and 5 on dutasteride.

So these tumor like acne on the forehead is an idication of high Estrogen? as someone mentioned in this thread?

I am getting the same thing but I am on Aromasin (Anti E) EOD
from what I know Aromasin is the most potent Anti E available, so can't be an increase in E, can it?
