Hi all,
I am 26 and suffering hair loss for about 5 years already. And I started to take some remedial measures about 1 year ago (Saw palmetto, some Japaneses herb hair growth stuff..). And unfortunately, neither of these works.
I was planned to talk more about things and reasons why I chose hair transplant instead of other stuff, but English is not my first language, so forgive me guys.


Ok, so first things first, why China? simple answer is, I live there, plus I acknowledged that the hair transplant surgery could cost me a fortune while I was studied in Indiana, US.




So here are the pictures of how my hair looks like before hair transplant:















In case you guys ever wonder, the watermarks are from the forum where I published at http://bbs.haotoufa.com/thread-121166-1-1.html (in Chinese though).


After a thorough inspection of my hair, the doctors suggest me to do 55 density (55 follicles per cm^2) instead of 50 (since my hair condition is good in general, so it require more follicles to look natural).

Day 1, replace bandage at my donor area:

Day 11, my transplanted area are now able to be touched, so it's ok for me to wear T-shirt from now on...




Day 15:




Day 19, my transplanted hair started to shed recently.




Day 20, started to use Minoxidil twice per day:

Day 29, started using 1mg Propecia, there were about 30% of my transplanted hair shed during 10 days.




Day 34:




Day 40, feel like only about 20% were left.........sad




Day 50:



Day 70, feel like my hair started to grow recently.

Around 110 days, my hair started to grow kinda fast from 90 days..



Around 120 days:



Few days ago, around 140 days (after haircut):

Looks like a great result! How much did your surgery cost and which doctor did you see?

The surgery costs me about 30,000 Yuan, which is around 4800 USD.

Awesome job brings me back to memory lane I had a similar hair line @ 26 tbh I think while you would have been good for many years to come since your hair is thick and long growing, the hair transplant you have got is excellent and finasteride/pro + minoxidil should help keep it that way!

It looks like you had very little issue in the recovery your hair grows fast so you were able to get away without looking like a walking dead casted zombie for a year....

Thx bro, and according to my doctor, typically the hair will start grow after 120 days, so yeah, my hair did grow a bit faster than normal.

And my doctor suggests me to reduce the intake amount of finasteride after 6~7 months, so tbh I don't really know how my hair would look like after that..

So did you find any difficulty after the treatment ? and how long it took ?

I couldn't fall asleep after hair transplant in few days, and everything seemed fine besides that.

The surgery took about 10 hours in total (include one hour intermission for lunch).
