I was wondering if anyone here knows how frequently does male pattern baldness occur on people without any significant family history of balding? I know it can skip several generations, but I was wondering how many of you here are facing this kind of problem or know someone who does? Thanks

I have a close friend who is NW4 going to NW5 at 35. His father is NW1. His mother has no issues.

He says his grandfathers are NW2 or maybe 3 at an old age and grandmothers have no visible hair loss.
There is a chance the gene skipped two generations, or it was not "expressed" in two generations.
