I've been taking .5mg finpecia daily for about 3 months now. I've experienced slight sensitivity in the front of my scalp....does anyone know what this sensitivity is or what it's supposed to mean? Has anyone else experienced this? I don't think this is a good thing because the hair loss seems to be more prominent in the sensitive areas. I'm rubbing on my head right now and I notice that I don't really experience any sensitive on my right side of the scalp and my hair is thicker there than on my left side where there is sensitivty when i rub my scalp.

Yes, I have the same thing, i have been on Proscar and Fincar for 6 month's and the fron of my scalp is sore and itching. Also the right side is way thicker than the left. i wasn't sure if this was normal.

try gently massaging the area once a day for a week or so and see if that makes any difference. I had sore areas towards the back of my scalp and the massage cleared them up.

Frontal area hair loss is the reason I used Propecia in the first place. I have used finasteride for 10 months now and I have gotten mini hairs to regrow in the front and thats all. At least it has stopped the loss of more hairs.

I had the same sensitivity and soreness, but it has actually gone away since starting finasteride. Weird.
