Hi Guys,
Before I get into this I am sure these question's have been answered before but I wasn't able to find a thread that had all the info I am hoping for. So if you just want to send me to another thread that you feel has the answer's I am looking for I would appreciate it.
Anyway, I am a long time lurker but this is my first post. I am in my early 30's and started losing my hair around 16. Its been a very slow process for me, at its worst around the age of 21-22 and in the past 10 years I would say I have lost very little ground. I am currently left with a receded hairline, a bald spot poking through (not slick bald but noticeable) and some general thinness on top. I'm sorry I dont really know what Norwood I would be. I used Propecia and rogain for a few years but it didn't really do too much for me (good or bad), so I stopped. I still use Nizoral as I have seen some good come out of using it. When it comes to hair transplants I am really looking more at FUE, I like keeping my hair pretty short and the strip scar is something I would rather avoid if possible. anyway here are my questions.
1. Any advice on FUE doctors around the New York area? I am leaning toward True & Dorin but I am open to suggestions. Anyone have experience with Dr. True or Dr. Dorin? Any input from actual patients of Doctor's would be greatly appreciated. Also, just want to mention I am absolutely open to traveling for a good Doctor.
2. I am pretty sure I have a good amount of donor hair but I am a little interested in transplanting beard hair as well. Anyone know of any doctors doing that around New York?
3. I understand that the bald spot is generally the most troublesome area to "fix" with a hair transplant but its really the area I am most interested in. I am not especially too concerned with bringing my hairline down at all. So, any doctors that specialize in bald spots? I dont know if these doctors even exist.
Anyway, thanks for the time and I look forward to any responses.
