I was a norwood 3, with the little 'Island' almost detached from the mainland and had a little over 1500 grafts removed using Artas and then redistributed over my temples and thinning island area.
I can honestly say its cost me the price of a decent family car but my results are fantastic.
A couple of really important points to consider though,
Research research research, get quotes get information, have consultations, ask a sh*t ton of questions as what you will be going through getting a hair transplant is a f*****g huge deal.
Once your hair transplant is complete aftercare is Soooo important!! You now need to think of your hair as you do your teeth. Neglect = loss. Using crappy hair products, gels conditioners you need to be really mindfull of what you are using. I use Nizoral shampoo.
The hair transplant hair if implanted well is now there for life but the rest of your head is still subject to Male pattern baldness. Myself I use regain twice a day, its takes not even 10 seconds to apply and is now part of my routine.
Dont get me wrong this decision was about 2-3 years in the making but one big factor for me was that my head is very non symetrical and squiffy. If I shave my head you can see the odd shape of my head plain as day. So I thought f*** this I like having hair and running my hands through it and made my choice. If I had a good shaped head I would probably have had some form of folicle tattoo on my bonce.
My experience has been overall fantastic, you do get good and bad days but overall the bad days are pretty rare now after almost two years.
Any questions I am happy to help
