Depends how bad your hairloss is and when you start treatment. If your a Norwood 5 then no, if your Norwood 2-3 with slight thinning on the crown then most probably yes. But you'll never get "total thickening" unless your a very good responder.

where can i find the definitions to all these acronyms and stuff like norwood and nw2-3 etc???

Depends on what meds you are taking for hairloss, how bad your hairloss is, and how long ago your hair loss started. If you are just using minoxidil and you are a NW5 then no. If you just started receding or thinning last year and you are only a NW2 you start using the big 3, then chances are you will be able to maintain what you have get some good regrowth as well for at least 5 years.
