I am new to this board and hope to continue to post with my results. I believe I have Androgenetic Alopecia, my mom is thinning and so is my sister at 45, i am 35. I started thinning about 22 or so and have continued to throughout the years. I can still hide it thus far, as long as I layer my wavy hair. I started rogaine 5% about one month ago. Will I see the hair that is thinning increase in density? I have hair on my scalp it is just generally becoming thin all over. What should I expect?

There is a shedding phase involved with Rogaine during the first few months, so ride that out, no matter what. Its only temporary. Give it a solid 12 months before you decide whether it is working. If you are using the Foam (versus liquid) your chances of results are very high. Please also get yourself on Nizoral shampoo and use it once every 3 days. Allow it to soak for the duration of your shower. It is also strongly advised that you see a dermatologist and get the necessary bloodwork done to rule out any imbalances that may be fixed, and which would also restore your hair automatically.
