I was wondering if anyone has tried a generic form of proscar. I believe one of them is called fincar or something? Anyway these generics are a lot cheaper than real proscar..... I just wonder if they work as well as Merck's proscar. Could anyone who has tried generic proscar please let us all know if it works as well as the real deal. Saving money on the generic is tempting, but if the product doesn't work, then it is pointless.

You _have_ to use Merck quality finasteride. They use a special isoenzyme in the centrifugal process to extract a purer form of finasteride. Actually, it's called fine-asteride -- as in, "Damn ... that shiiit is soo fine!"
Use the generics, if you're afraid, order Merck's Proscar from a legitimate online pharmacy. And for those legitimate pharmacies, look at the millions of topics on this forum that discuss them. Gee, why not start at the topic, "Cheap Places to Get Finasteride"?

I actually did try to start a topic on the cheapest online place to get finasteride, but no one was very responsive. By the way, has anyone ordered from pharma-corp.com? They have Merck proscar for cheap, but it is an Indian company and they are sometimes kind of sketchy.
bonehead - are they the ones that say 'finastide' on them? i ordered a couple of months back assuming they would be the 'cipla' or 'dr reddys' generic, but found out they are made by someone called 'CSC Pharmaceuticals', and so have hesitated taking them, since I know nothing about this company. however if they are the same you have been taking for 6 months i guess that they are genuine??
