Generic finasteride Vs Name Brand - Differences?

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has noticed any major differences between generic and name brand finasteride.

From my own experience, no sides at all once I went to HIMS finasteride 1 mg/daily. Also seems I’m getting some ultra crazy results 2.5 months in. So many little hairs all over my head popping up.

When I was on 5 mg generic I had a lot of side effects, brain fog, testicle pain, watery semen, nipple tenderness and itchiness.

It’s been absolutely crazy. I was on generic for about a year last year before deciding it wasn’t doing enough to put up with any sides I was getting (worried about Gyno)

Now I have nothing, no sides whatsoever and it’s been incredible.

Anyone else notice anything similar?

I've been taking 1mg generic finasteride for about 6 years. Many different brands, it all works fine for me, I don't even look at the manufacturer anymore. One time the pharmacist didn't have 1 mg and let me have 5mg with directions to "split into 5ths". I did it as well as I could, still no difference to me

You still using HIMS finasteride ? Any results ?

You take 5mg daily or split the tablet? As 5mg will give you more side effects compared to the recommended 1mg dosage.
