Generic Finasteride

Just received my first order of generic propecia. On the packet it say 1mg Finasteride (generic propecia), on the tablet itself it says 'Finastide'. I know i am probably just being really paranoid but i cant find the name 'finastide' mentioned anywhere on the net. the tablets do look exactly like the genuine propecia. Is there any reason to doubt that this is a genuine generic? As i say i know i am just being paranoid, but i do want to be sure i am not taking anything dodgy (but cant really afford the merck version)...

FinaSTERIDE?

or

Finastide?

Make sure you're looking for the right thing. The active drug for hairloss in Propecia, Prosar, and generics is Finasteride.

on the packet it says '1mg finasteride', on the tablet itself itself it is printed 'finastide' (which i assume is just the name they have given it (eg 'finpecia', 'finpac' etc)

Those crazy indians!!! I dont know what to say here, it is most likely legit, but that was just a really dumb thing to name your pill. It doesn't add confidence because it seems like they made a spelling mistake.

We know that Finax an Finpecia are brand names for generic propecia from Indian labs - Dr. Reddys and CIPLA - both of which are reputable.

"Finastide" is probably a newer, lesser known player. But from where? Even I would question deep before taking and as you all know, I believe all advertising to be true.
