Can confirm also while I'm at it balding also puts you at a greater risk for developing heart disease and can affect sperm motility.

I've heard this theory before, but always dismissed it as nonsense (despite being a short white man who yes, is balding). The fact that the article states that the researchers weren't able to quantify the link, yet were still able to establish one regardless leaves more questions than answers. I know the article states whites specifically, but if one were to include all different ethnicities I think it would shatter this theory. Men of East & Southeast Asia, as well as indigenous men of the Americas have considerably lower rates of male pattern hair loss than their European counterparts, but tend to be shorter in stature (the article even mentions this in regards to Asians!).

Im 6'4 and balding tho

True in my experience. One of the few exceptions is my dad who's tall and NW6, but the norm around here is bald-implies-short.
I am short (5 9) and balding aggressively, and a good chunk of my equally heighted friends started balding this year (23 yo).
All the people I know of my age who are even a bit taller than me have way lower incidence of balding. Life is sh*t.

Guzam, I wouldn't call 5.9 short per se. Its not tall, but its not necessarily short. I'm 5.10 and see myself as relatively tall. Once I have shoes on I'm six foot. So it.s all relative.

I live in a multicultural city, so I'm always taller then Asian guys and they account for half the world's male population.

It's a matter of perspective. Just don't sell yourself short :)

Hey man, I understand what you say. I have no problem with height, in fact it doesn't bother me in the least; I'm one of those people who doesn't give a sh*t about their own height. I have no desider to be taller, nor do I envy taller people. But we have two different definitions of 'short'. It seems to me that to you, 'short' is reserved to those with lower than average height (from 5 8 below, in general). I learned that women have a different approach to male height: 'short' is anyone below an approximation of the 85th percentile (182 cm (6), if we assume normality with avg 175 cm (5 9) and standard deviation 7 cm). In fact I find this approach more accurate so I use it.

5'10 and considering yourself tall? You are living in big illusion my friend... I'm similiar height and 90percent of the time i'm the smallest guy in group.
