Getting the Right Colored Concealer Thread

All,

One of the common problems shared here is the difficulty of nailing the correct concealer color on the first try. Hopefully users who have hit pay dirt will chime in with their experience- thus assisting new prospects in ordering respective products more accurately.

Several have complained about the brown shade of Dermatch being essentially black. Another mentioned that light brown Dermatch appeared reddish. I finally tried Toppik the other night, and although I was pleased with the results, I still found the medium brown too dark and somewhat grey.

So what shades of what products are getting the job done for us? Any advice on mixing and matching? Dermatch, Courve, Toppik, Hair So Real- whatever. Let's hear it!

Dark Brown Couvre is very dark, basically black on scalp when applied heavy but great for very dark brown to black hair. What it looks like by lightly applying is "graying" the scalp to reduce the white. Go light in front (small buffing turns grayish) and heavy in back (black - cover with existing hair a must). Looks great. I go from 85% entire scalp diffuse thinning hairloss (per my doctor) to about 5% "appeared" loss. I actually fooled my hair transplant doctor, which is about as best you can do. Stuff rocks!
