Glaucoma/pressure behind eyes

Anyone get a lot of pressure behind their eyes?

I seem to get it very often these days, along with red eyes and, now and then, prolonged painful headaches.

I am wondering if the Rogaine is causing these problems, since it is supposed to reduce blood pressure -- and I might have become reliant on it?

You should go visit an opthamologist. While it may not be anything to be concerned about, symptoms like you're describing (pressure) are nothing to mess around with....

hairwegoagain is right, they will do a very simple test to see if you are in the specs or not. Don't wait.

Get a Glaucoma Test ASAP, but i would like to ask a few other questions about the headaches.

Can you describe them for us, do they favor one side? is the pain located above/around one of your eyes?

Thanks guys! I went to Wal Mart first and they said that the eye exam (something like $55) would include a glaucoma test, but if they did detect glaucoma, they would send me to an opthamologist.

I ended up going to an opthamologist (very cute and sweet female by chance) for my very first ever eye exam (excluding reading the letters eye exams I have had). The whole examination took over an hour and I couldn't read the computer screen properly for a few hours after that. I was also examining here during this time :)

Eye pressure came out to be excellent (low end of normal), vision was 20/20 in both eyes.

Now the hypochondriac in me wants to check for a brain tumor, but realistically, it is probably sinus/allergies based on what the opthamologist said, and based on some workmates similar problems due to changing weather. I have also been getting red eyes frequently these days, and visine is addictive according to the opthamologist who gave me some other medication.

Thanks again for the advice.

If you are experiencing that then I would certainly give the rogaine a rest for a while to see if that is causing it. I have never heard of it having that effect but if you suspect it is then I would stop just to make sure.
